Job summary

Save the Children is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support preschoolers in Head Start classrooms, assisting the Teacher and coordinating with families to promote holistic development. You will help implement daily plans and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment in compliance with program standards.

Requirements include a CDA or equivalent, strong English skills, and ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners.

Qualifications

• CDA or an equivalent credential meeting or exceeding CDA requirements.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to interact with families and community partners effectively.
• Knowledge of Head Start program purpose and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of preschoolers under Head Start guidelines.
• Support Teacher in day-to-day classroom operations.

• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
