Job summary

Astor Services is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support Head Start classrooms. This full-time role (35 hours per week, 42 weeks per year) focuses on assisting instruction, supervising children, and contributing to assessments and family engagement within a caring team.

Responsibilities include creating a safe, organized environment, incorporating play-based learning, and collaborating with staff to individualize development across emotional, cognitive, language, and physical domains.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with the population served is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a well-organized, welcoming learning environment.
