Job summary

Cantera Montessori Georgetown is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support Montessori-based activities for children ages 3–6 in a nurturing classroom. The role emphasizes hands-on learning and fostering independence, confidence, and social development in a collaborative team setting.

Ideal candidates will have experience with preschool-aged children, a desire to grow as educators in a Montessori environment, and a passion for hands-on activities like gardening, cooking, art, and science.

Preschool Assistant Teacher - Ages 3-6

At Cantera Montessori, we believe in creating a loving and consistent environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them. Our fully implemented Montessori programs foster independence, creativity, problem-solving, and strong social connections, helping children develop confidence and a deep love for learning.

Our Hawthorne Primary Community serves children ages 3-6, providing a beautiful, hands-on learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, make choices, develop practical life skills, build friendships, and become increasingly independent. Our Hawthorne Community serves 24 children with 2 teachers: 1 Lead Guide and 1 Assistant Teacher.

We are looking for caring and dedicated Preschool Assistant Teachers who:
