Job summary

The Whole Child Learning Center, Inc. is seeking a passionate full-time head teacher for our Infant room, hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to join a dedicated staff family with deep community roots.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Minimum AA in ECE or related field OR CDA in infant/toddler required.
  • Previous experience in early education, or babysitting is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in childcare (required).
  • Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certification in Infant/Child First Aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of engaging lesson plan activities from our curriculum that promote growth and development in accordance with PA standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Provide care for infants, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Prepare any necessary learning materials.
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
  • Observe and assess children's progress to meet individual needs.
  • Document students' learning progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full time head teacher for our Infant room from 8:00a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily. Our Staff Family is truly unique including staff that originally attended The Whole Child Learning Center as children and those that have been with us for 20 years. We have formed relationships in the community that have helped us build an incredible family atmosphere.
