The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa seeks a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support a classroom for children ages two months to five years. You will assist in planning activities, supervise children, and share lead duties with the preschool teacher when needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with two years of childcare experience, or an associate's degree or higher with some childcare experience. CDA and related credentials preferred.

• High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of childcare experience; OR associate's degree or higher and some childcare experience.
• Preferred: Child Development Credential (CDA).
• Preferred: Associate's degree in Child Development.

Responsabilidades

• Provides a safe and nurturing environment for children ages two months to five years.
• Works closely with the preschool teacher in planning and managing a classroom of children.
• Assumes the lead role with the children when the preschool teacher is working with students, parents, administrators and/or faculty.
