Job summary

Marin Primary & Middle School is seeking a Preschool Aftercare Coordinator to oversee the aftercare program, working 20 hours per week, 2:00–6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The role partners with the Director of Auxiliary Programs to provide a safe, engaging environment for preschool students.

You will supervise activities, support positive behavior, manage dismissals, and communicate with staff and families. Availability afternoons and a professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool children in a school setting.
• Available to work weekday afternoons.
• Courteous, warm, and professional demeanor.
• Health Screening, TB clearance, and background fingerprinting clearance required.
• A full school year commitment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during aftercare hours.
• Lead activities, games, outdoor recreation, and quiet-time programming.
• Support positive student behavior by reinforcing school expectations and policies.
• Coordinate student dismissal procedures and verify release to authorized adults.
• Communicate with the Director of Auxiliary Programs and other staff about student needs and safety concerns.
• Interface with parents to share information about their children in the aftercare program.
• Maintain a clean, organized aftercare space that promotes participation and well-being.
