Job summary

Lake Washington School District is hiring a 1:1 paraeducator for the AM Preschool program at Old Redmond School House. The role runs 2.75 hours daily with a 128-day calendar, from 8:15am to 11:00am, in Redmond, WA.

Compensation includes hourly rates of $30.79–$33.47 depending on experience and union steps. The paraeducator will assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction, support students with health care needs, and help with classroom logistics.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Possess an AA or higher, OR two years of college study (72 quarter hours) OR have a ParaPro or Paraprofessional test score above the required threshold.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with diverse needs.
• Support students with health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assist with classroom prep, equipment use, and storage; supervise students in various settings as needed.

Education

Associate degree (AA) or higher

Two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter hours

ParaPro or Paraprofessional Assessment with required score
