Job summary

Vertiv, based in the United States, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary Presales team and shape modular and hybrid data center solutions from concept through execution.

You will mentor engineers, drive design integration across electrical, HVAC, architectural, civil, controls and monitoring disciplines, and translate complex customer requirements into practical, compliant proposals. This role requires up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably with data centers or modular construction.
• Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of data center design, systems, and architecture.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, drawings, and codes.
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); AutoCAD experience preferred.

• Partner with Sales and customers to develop and present technical concepts and proposals.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and project teams.
• Review engineering deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Identify technical risks and develop creative, cost-effective solutions.
• Improve engineering tools, standards, processes, and workflows.
• Mentor and develop engineers, establish performance objectives, and support career growth.
• Support the transition of awarded projects from Presales into detailed design and execution.
