Job summary

MCC Label in Affton, MO is seeking a Graphics Prepress Specialist to prepare artwork for lithography, flexography, gravure, and digital printing. The role emphasizes technical file preparation, color accuracy, and efficiency to ensure flawless plate output.

You will work with customer files, perform proofs, manage multiple jobs, and collaborate with teammates. Strong computer skills, color theory, and knowledge of preflight software are essential; this is not a design position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years equivalent in Graphics Reproduction, Customer Service, or related fields.
• Advanced computer skills with business OS, prepress/preflight software, internet apps, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience with Hybrid, Esko, GMG or HP Indigo software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute electronic art separations following internal tickets and printer specifications for all print types.
• Output electronic proofs and hard color proofs.
• Convert approved proofs to final stepped files for plate output.
• Inspect finished files and complete QA checklist.
• Interact with customer representatives or teammates on specifications or requirements.
• Manage multiple jobs in various production stages.
• Operate Macintosh workstations with ERP and graphics systems.
• Assist with external communication and file transfers.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
