Job summary

MCC Label in St. Louis is seeking a Graphics Prepress Specialist to ensure accurate preparation of artwork for lithography, flexography, gravure and digital printing.

The role emphasizes technical file prep over design, focusing on traps, proofs, color management and plate-ready output. You will manage multiple jobs, configure files to customer specs, and collaborate with customers and teammates while maintaining quality and timely turnaround.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of equivalent education/experience in graphics reproduction or related fields.
• Advanced computer skills with MS Office, preflight software, and internet apps.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Color theory and color separation understanding.
• Detail oriented, well organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execute electronic art separations following internal tickets and printer specs.
• Outputs electronic and hard color proofs.
• Convert approved proofs to final stepped files for plate output.
• Inspect finished files and complete QA checklist.
• Interact with customers and team members on job specs.
• Manage multiple jobs across production stages.
• Operate Macintosh workstations with ERP and Graphics Systems.
• Assist with external communication and file transfers.
• Complete required documentation promptly.
