Job summary

MCC is seeking a Prepress Technician to ensure accurate preparation of artwork for flexography and digital label printing. The role emphasizes technical file preparation, color management, and production readiness rather than design.

You will work with Adobe Creative Cloud, Esko workflows, and GMG tools to deliver press-ready files across offset, flexographic, and label printing platforms, while maintaining quality and meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, ES KO workflows, GMG color management, and print production workflows.
• Experience with trapping, color correction, and label printing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create trapped production ready art files.
• Generate customer proofs.
• Manage multiple jobs in various proofing and assembly stages.
• Work with Adobe Creative Cloud, Esko software, and internal production systems.
• Build press sheet layouts and modify layouts for production.
• Prepare jobs for press operations.
• CMYK and spot-color correction and matching.
• Support offset and flexographic printing.
• Use GMG color management tools.
• Produce screens and plates for print.
• Preflight and QC of artwork.
• Track job progress in production systems.
