RRD Company in Timonium, MD is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist for the 1st shift. The role involves reviewing client files, preparing layouts, and ensuring accuracy before plate making.

Experience with Kodak Prinergy is a plus; you will work with Customer Service and production staff to resolve issues, load files, and prepare proofs. The position offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Mac and PC design/layout software
• Understanding of PDF/TIFF/EPS formats across OS
• Basic color management and handling of digital formats
• Knowledge of output to various devices and readiness to learn new graphics software
• Familiar with offset printing and color interactions
• Mechanical skills for small tools and equipment maintenance

Responsabilités

• Review client files for completeness before plate making
• Utilize desktop publishing to format print jobs to paper size
• Plan page layouts with folds, trims, bleeds, gripper, crop marks and color bars
• Identify missing/problematic items and notify Customer Service and production teams
• Collaborate with Customer Service, clients, and production to resolve job issues
• Load client files onto the Pre-Press server for output
• Create electronic page images for manufacturing proofs used by Press and Bind operators
• May prepare color proofs for customer review
