Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Prepared Foods Team Member in New Jersey to assist with scheduling, supervision, and daily department flow. You will oversee compelling Prepared Foods, coffee, and juice displays and support Team Leaders to ensure smooth operations.

You will train, mentor, and evaluate Team Members, ensuring strong team performance and excellent customer service while upholding health, safety, and store SOPs.

• Product knowledge.

• Proficiency with email and office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Trains Team Members with the Prepared Foods Trainer to sustain a high-performance team.
• Assists in training of new Team Members using checklists and training materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked, and rotated.
• Opens and closes the department per procedures.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to leaders.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Promotes a positive environment and strong morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and directs staff to delight customers.
• Selects, trains, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
• Provides timely performance evaluations and feedback.
• Models the WFM vision and goals consistently.
