Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Chicago seeks Team Members to handle preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking. You will ensure products are properly labeled, dated, and rotated while upholding health and safety standards.

The role emphasizes courteous service and team collaboration on the floor and behind the scenes. The position supports the store’s programs and initiatives, with a focus on strong product knowledge, timely customer assistance, and adherence to Weights & Measures and safety

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Fast-paced environment with strong time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Preps and rotates, stocks, and merchandises products according to procedures.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintains clean and organized walk-ins and freezers; reports safety hazards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and verifies pricing signs.
