Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a team member to purchase and replenish food for preparation, monitor purchase orders, and maintain inventory and merchandising standards. The role emphasizes accuracy, cost control, and customer service within a fast-paced prepared foods environment.

You will work with Kitchen/Team Leaders to ensure pricing accuracy, support regional promotions, and uphold health and safety regulations while providing exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Extensive product knowledge across production, distribution, seasonal availability and trends.
• Ability to create and negotiate price bids.
• Familiarity with nutrition information and product details.
• Strong merchandising knowledge and adherence to prepared foods standards.
• Understanding of WFM margin program and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and replenishes food for preparation through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink, achieves turn goals, participates in inventory.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the department.
• Provides excellent customer service and supports team members.
