Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Leader Assistant to support daily operations across profitability, merchandising, labor, and compliance. You will lead and develop Team Members while ensuring friendly, efficient service to customers and adherence to SOPs.

You will work with the Team Leader to drive sales, manage product knowledge, and maintain vendor relations. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and handle a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience with 6+ months supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Experience with merchandising, reports, and vendor relations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops/maintains awareness of new products.
• Maintains vendor relationships and ensures paperwork is submitted for vendor processing.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Acts as point person in absence of Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment and strong teamwork.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
• Monitors customer flows and directs Team Members to delight customers.
