Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an experienced Team Member to assist with scheduling and supervision in the Prepared Foods department. You will oversee displays, support the Team Leader, and ensure smooth department operations while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include training, staffing, and maintaining high standards of service and inventory. The role requires leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is required or preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Knowledge of Prepared Foods policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Trains Team Members with trainer and materials to build a high-performance team.
• Assists in training new Team Members using checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked, and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures breaks are given and team schedules are managed.
• Communicates team concerns to leaders.
• Sets and maintains high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters positive teamwork and morale.
• Responds to customer needs and inquiries promptly.
• Recruits, mentors, and develops staff; conducts performance evaluations.
• Communicates WFM vision and goals.
