Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member in the Prepared Foods/Merchandising area. The role focuses on purchasing, replenishment, promotions, and inventory control while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring open PO reports, assisting in price optimization, coordinating with the Kitchen Manager, and supporting team through accurate merchandising and display development.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Buying/Merchandising experience required or preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and store operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Purchases and replenishes food for preparation through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink, achieves turn goals, participates in inventory.
• Assists with counter service and cooks as scheduled or as necessary.
• Communicates with Kitchen Manager/Chef on ordering needs and issues.
• Maintains positive relationships with vendors and supports pricing decisions.
• Oversees customer special order procedure and supports leadership in inventories.
• Maintains profitability by meeting purchasing and sales targets.
