Job summary

NEP Group, Inc. seeks a hands-on shop technician to support equipment loading, packing, and maintenance for live production and camera operations. You will assist in repairs, assemble cables, and coordinate with field teams to ensure reliable gear delivery.

This role requires teamwork, basic electronics knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will join a fast-paced environment that values safety, precision, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/electronics education; combination with experience considered.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to occasionally work overtime and be on call.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks according to timetables.
• Manage shipping/receiving with FedEx and UPS, including international services.
• Pack and ship equipment for robotic camera work orders.
• Assist in repairs of electronics and camera support gear; coordinate service.
• Assemble cables and basic components; test fiber as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and support other shop activities.
• Represent the company to clients and vendors professionally.

What You Will Do

• Loading and unloading trucks according to specific timetables
• Managing Fed Ex and UPS shipping and receiving - including international services
• Picking, packing and shipping all necessary equipment to complete robotic camera work orders
• Evaluating robotic camera heads for zoom, pan, tilt and focus operations.
• Completing basic repairs of electronics and camera support equipment; coordinating repairs with manufacturers and other repair services
• Assembling basic cables and simple electronic components according to specifications, testing fiber
• Milling and building camera support according to specifications
• Inside troubleshooting for field operations on an "as needed" basis
• Checking in packages and moving equipment to appropriate locations within the shop
• Properly storing and moving equipment as needed
• Maintaining a high level of teamwork within the shop in order to provide the highest level of customer service
• Maintaining a clean and organized shop environment and assisting in other shop activities as needed.
• Representing the company to clients and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma, Technical Degree, Electronics, preferred. Will consider candidate with a combination of education and experience.
• Must be willing and able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. and be willing to seek assistance for anything over 50 lbs. (should not seek to do over 50 lbs. without assistance).
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to work occasional overtime and be "on call" as assigned - outside normal business hours
