Job summary

NEP Group Inc. is seeking a Shop Assistant in Van Nuys, CA to expedite shipments, assist with inventory, and prepare equipment for events. This entry-level role includes hands-on training and growth opportunities within the company.

Work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, on-site at our warehouse. Occasional overtime and weekend support may be required. Wage is $19–$20 per hour. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and travel to NEP events as needed are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Some shop experience is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of equipment handling and inventory management preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be willing to travel to NEP events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and distribute shipments and receivables each morning.
• Facilitate shipping/receiving by loading/unloading equipment.
• Compile and scan load lists for events, packing and shipping equipment.
• Prepare equipment for loading and offload for AVS gear.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment.
• Check in packages and move equipment to shop locations.
• Provide transportation of equipment for maintenance/repair to local sites.
• Offer onsite support for shipments and inventory at NEP events.
