Job summary

DIS-TRAN Steel in Pineville, LA is seeking experienced PREP Welders to join our day shift. You will perform welding on structures, reading blueprints and specifications, and maintaining steady flow through the facility. Safety and accuracy are essential to producing quality products.

The role requires interpreting blueprints, operating cranes or hoists, and using manual welding equipment for gas metal arc welding. Prior welding experience and the ability to pass a site weld test are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong safety mindset and ability to read blueprints required.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and measurements.
• Welding certification or prior welding experience preferred; GMAW experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates safety equipment and follows safe work habits.
• Welds components according to blueprints and specs using welding equipment.
• Positions, aligns, and welds parts to form structures; uses cranes or hoists as needed.
• Inspects welds and finished parts for defects and conformance to procedures.
