Job summary

Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Pigeon Forge, TN is hiring Prep Cook/Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. This role offers opportunities to grow within the restaurant industry and cross-train across stations.

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing a variety of menu items, maintaining station readiness, and assisting with plating and garnishing. Pay starts at $15/hour with room to earn up to $17/hour based on performance and experience.

Qualifications

• Must pass the federally mandated E-verify process.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a professional restaurant kitchen.
• Must have an understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Able to conduct yourself in a positive and professional manner under all circumstances, including in a high paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of food items following daily prep list.
• Assist with plating and garnishing of hot menu items.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and prep ingredients for production.
• Maintain station readiness and contribute to overall production.
