Job summary

Mollie Stone’s Markets in Greenbrae, CA is looking for a Part Time Prep Cook. The ideal candidate is customer-service driven and able to perform a variety of prep tasks to support daily kitchen operations.

You should have prep or kitchen experience, follow recipes, and maintain safety standards. Availability for evenings, weekends, and some holidays is required. We offer a union position with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow recipe specifications as defined.
• Must be able to handle food in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Serv-Safe certification is a plus.

About the Role

Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Part Time Prep Cook at our Greenbrae location. The perfect candidate will be customer service driven and flexible working various tasks from day to day.

Essential Functions

• Give every customer immediate and undivided attention
• Ensure that food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet all kitchen and recipe guidelines
• Ensure that walk-ins and freezers are clean, and products are stored properly
• Know product availability, preparation, storage and nutritional aspects
• Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms, and meet all spoilage targets

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
• Individual must be able to follow recipe specifications as defined
• Must be able to handle food in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements
• Serv-Safe certified is a plus!
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team; ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Available to work a flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• Local candidates only

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs
• Standing: Up to 8 hours per day
• Walking: Up to 8 hours per day
• Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day

Pay range

$19.50-$24.35/hour
