St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college, is seeking a part-time Prep Cook. Perfect for someone who values work-life balance and wants to contribute meaningfully while enjoying flexibility outside of traditional 9–5 schedules. The hours are generally Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. The position begins annually on August 20th and ends on May 20th.The Prep Cook is responsible for assisting the Department Supervisors and Chefs with the production of meals, including preparation, cooking, and clean-up/sanitation.Specific responsibilities:Attend daily staff huddles, staff in-services, and required training, including AllerTrain, ServSafe, Emergency Action Plans, and departmental updates.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food production environment.Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas.Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes for meal plans, catering events, and cash operations.Assist chefs and supervisors with the preparation and production of ingredients for meal plans, catering events, and cash operations.Follow safe work practices and maintain awareness of personal safety and the safety of others.
