St. Norbert College is seeking a Marketplace Shift Supervisor to lead student staff at Ruth’s Marketplace. The role focuses on meal service operations, safety, and quality, with a working supervisor responsibility during manager absences.

Regular hours are 12:00 pm–8:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekend rotation every 5–6 weeks. This 12-month position supports summer conference operations and includes a benefits package and tuition waiver eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of retail/institutional food service experience preferred.
• 1 year supervisory and cash handling experience.
• ServSafe Manager certification preferred (upon hire).
• Able to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct 10–12 student workers per shift.
• Oversee meal service operations with safety and quality focus.
• Train and cross-train staff across areas including dish and seating.
• Close out meals and secure marketplace after service and prepare deposits.

St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college, is seeking a Marketplace Shift Supervisor. This position provides operational support to Ruth’s Marketplace during the absence of the Manager and P.M. Assistant Manager. It is a working supervisor role that spends the majority of each shift actively supporting marketplace operations while training, guiding, and overseeing student employees.Regular work hours are Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Rotates working weekends every 5-6 weeks. This is a 12-month/year-round position that works 10 months at Ruth’s Marketplace and 2 months as summer conference business support.Specific responsibilities:Supervise and direct student employees in the Marketplace, including assigning workstations and tasks.Oversee meal service operations using standardized procedures and safe equipment practices to ensure food quality, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
