Job summary

Over Easy in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Prep Cook to join our breakfast, brunch, and lunch kitchen. You will prep fresh ingredients and keep a clean, organized workspace to support smooth service.

You’ll handle food items, maintain readiness at line stations, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met throughout shifts. A valid Food Handlers’ certification is preferred, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation or restaurant environment preferred.
• Must maintain a valid Food Handlers’ certification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Must be at least 16 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served.
• Be well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information.
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.
• Shows up when scheduled and prepares, stocks, and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station including all equipment during and after service.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly in accordance with health department standards.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows opening/closing checklists for stations.
