Job summary

Delaware North’s Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista, FL is hiring Prep Cooks to join a fast-paced, guests-focused kitchen. You will prepare items, follow kitchen procedures, and support a collaborative team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Experience in back-of-house food prep, ability to read prep sheets, and comfort with knives and kitchen tools are preferred. Flexible shifts, weekly pay, and benefits are available to eligible team members.

• Prior food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets.
• Ability to use kitchen tools safely (knives and small equipment).
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Two years of back-of-house food preparation operations.
• Experience with Asian products and cuisine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve storage items necessary, and measure, portion, and prepare all food items, complying with all quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate with the Chef for any special instructions or training.
• Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines.
• Follow all safety, security, kitchen, and ServSafe procedures, upholding health codes and sanitation regulations.

More About You

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
• Manual dexterity is sufficient to chop, mix, blend, and whip a variety of foods and liquids
• Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
• Ability to frequently immerse hands in water
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
