Noii sushi in Kirkland, opening Fall 2025, is seeking a reliable Prep Cook to support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting chefs during busy service hours. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced culinary environment.

Previous kitchen experience isn’t required, but basic knife skills and a valid Food Handler’s Certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knife skills and food handling knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to take on tasks proactively.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, and proteins according to kitchen standards
• Prepare sauces, dressings, and other basic components as directed
• Assist with stock rotation and ingredient inventory management
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas and storage
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures diligently
• Support chefs and line cooks by ensuring timely prep of ingredients
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
• Washing and seasoning sushi rice
• Cleaning various fish and seafood
• Adhere to all kitchen safety and hygiene protocols
