Job summary

King's Fish House in Corona, CA is seeking a Prep Cook to support cooks, uphold recipe adherence, quality control and sanitation. You will be cross trained in all recipes and work in a fast-paced environment with opening managers to set up each shift for success.

You will be trained on kitchen standards and contribute in a team service setting, performing opening, ongoing and closing side-work duties while following all company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a support/prep cook role (1 year).
• High school graduate.
• Food handlers Card.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English with Guests, management and co-workers.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and preparation methods.
• Knowledge of ingredients, quality standards, appearance and temperature.
• Knowledge of care and use of kitchen equipment.
• Ability to read prep sheets.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Prepare necessary food items for meal period and next service.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Prep food for scheduled meal period.
• Follow supervisor’s instruction.
• Alert Chef or Sous Chef as to any deficiencies of food items.
• Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities.
