Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, PA is seeking a punctual kitchen team member to support event catering and daily food prep. You will plate, garnish, and prepare items for weddings and events ranging from 50 to 400 guests, while maintaining quality standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to work at least 2 days per week.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication in English, both oral and written.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Team player and able to collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking on broilers, ovens and grills.
• Demonstrate proper plate presentation and garnish setup for weddings and events.
• Follow recipes, portioning, cooking methods and quality standards.
• Ensure prep is completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Communicate with staff and management effectively.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and rotate stock as needed.
• Assist with stocking at line stations to ensure smooth service.
