Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, PA is seeking a punctual Short Order Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prep and plate foods across outlets, ensuring garnish, portioning, and recipe standards are met. The role requires reliable attendance, weekend availability, and strong English communication.

You will learn our POS system and work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. We offer opportunities within a long-standing hospitality team, with emphasis on personal and professional growth

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available to work at least 2 days per week including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Timely and reliable attendance.
• Able to work independently with strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Good English (oral and written) communication.
• Willing to learn POS system and interact positively with guests.
• Able to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment.
• Present plates with garnish and proper portioning per recipes and standards.
• Follow recipes, methods and kitchen policies; maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Complete prep tasks timely and efficiently while adhering to specs.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management.
• Maintain sanitary workstation and stock levels for service.
• Handle, store and rotate products; ensure product quality.
• Take 100% responsibility for quality of served products.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager or on-duty manager.
