Job summary

Compass Group USA at UT Rio Grande Valley is hiring for full-time and part-time Prep Cook positions. Location is Edinburg, TX with a fixed pay rate of $12.00 per hour. Schedule includes mornings and afternoons with weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen/food service experience preferred.
• Must have or obtain a Food Handler's certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy. Follows HACCP guidelines.
• Takes orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Completes orders from steam tables and grill and serves customers at multiple stations.
