Chartwells Higher Ed at University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX is hiring a part-time dishwasher to support campus dining services. You will maintain dishes, pots, pans, trays, and work areas in clean, sanitary condition to ensure safety standards.

The role requires a food handler’s certification and offers $11.00 per hour with a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Food handler's certification required.
• Experience with dishwashing and maintaining sanitary conditions preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes/rinses food from dirty dishes and washes by hand or in racks/conveyor, ensuring cleanliness.
• Washes pots, pans and trays per procedures; maintains sanitation.
• Polishes silver using machines or hand methods; ensures cleanliness.
• Adheres to safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintains temperatures/chemical levels per standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and safe.
• Sweeps/mops kitchen floors to meet sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and empties containers; cleans cans as needed.
• Transfers supplies/equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assists with loading/unloading supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
