Longboards Williamsburg is looking for a dependable, hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing ingredients, keeping prep areas organized and helping the kitchen stay ready for busy service.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or food preparation preferred; training available.
• Dependable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meats, vegetables, sauces and other menu ingredients according to recipes.
• Reading a prep sheet.
• Keep the walk-in refrigerator organized and clean.
• Wash, cut, portion, label and properly store food.
• Maintain clean and organized prep and storage areas.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation and temperature-control procedures.
• Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
• Assist cooks and other kitchen team members as needed.
• Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties.
• Work efficiently while maintaining consistent quality.
