Job summary

Kindred Restaurant's Deepwell concept is hiring detail-oriented prep cooks to join the back-of-house team as we open a new upscale casual outlet. This fast-paced role focuses on consistency, precision, and setting the kitchen up for great service.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Solid knife skills and working knowledge of food safety practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and execute consistently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and menu components according to recipes and kitchen standards
• Practice proper knife skills, portioning, and food handling techniques
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked prep station
• Label, date, and rotate stock following proper food safety procedures
• Assist line cooks during service as needed
• Communicate with kitchen leadership regarding inventory and prep needs
• Follow all health department and food safety guidelines
• Support a fast-paced, detail-oriented kitchen environment during high-volume shifts
