Beauty & the Butcher in Coral Gables invites a dedicated prep cook to join our kitchen team. You will set up stations, follow chef prep lists, measure ingredients, and help prepare entrees and salads in a fast-paced setting.

We value teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to work long shifts. A high school diploma is required; culinary school is a plus, and experience is advantageous. E-Verify and equal opportunity employer.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Culinary school training would be advantageous.
• Experience as a prep cook is advantageous.
• Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical endurance to work long shifts.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights and holidays.
• Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Set up and sanitize workstations.
• Follow prep lists created by chefs.
• Measure ingredients and prepare stock for cooking.
• Prepare simple dishes such as entrees or salads.
• Ensure all food items are properly stored and accessible.
• Assist chefs in preparing food and attending to culinary tasks.
• Distribute plates to wait staff and prepare takeaway packages.
• Supervise food and cooling room temperatures.
• Accept or reject ingredients from suppliers.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.
• Prepare drinks and cocktails according to chef's specifications.
