Job summary

McMenamins Edgefield in Oregon is hiring a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The role focuses on opening the kitchen, prepping various foods, and supporting line cooks with cold and hot sauces while maintaining clean, organized work areas.

The position requires the ability to multi-task in a busy, deadline-driven setting and to work well both independently and as part of a team. Prior cooking experience and a current food handlers card are preferred.

Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain a current food handlers card
• Previous cooking experience is preferred
• Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Open the kitchen and produce food prep for the restaurant
• Slice, chop, prepare sauces, rotate products and maintain walk-in organization
• Perform kitchen sanitation duties and line cooking; work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
