Job summary

The Prep Cook is responsible for all aspects of production for Salads and Sandwiches, and clean up before, during and after service. This hands-on role will also prepare sandwiches, salads, and desserts for students and faculty, and support kitchen cleanliness and orderly order-picking.

They will serve as the first impression for guests with accurate speed and friendly service. Essential functions include prepping daily meals, stocking stations, cooking and carving, ensuring safety and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 - 3 years' experience in a similar position.
• Must be dependable, neat, clean, professional and have excellent customer service skills - FRONT AND BACK OF THE HOUSE.

Responsibilities

• Preparing daily meals including made-to-order deli/salad items including catering orders.
• Chopping and slicing meats, cheese and vegetables, cooking, making sandwiches and grab-and-go items.
• Stock stations with all items necessary for service and ensure space is clean.
• Bake, roast, broil and steam meats, fish and vegetables.
• Provide excellent customer service, greet and thank customers, and keep the department presentable.
• Operate and sanitize all equipment safely and assist culinary staff as directed.
