Qualifications

• Experience as prep cook in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of ingredients, recipes, hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Passion for culinary arts and creative cooking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Chef or kitchen manager.
• Label and stock ingredients on accessible shelves.
• Wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats.
• Measure quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients.
• Parboil foods, reduce sauces, and start first steps in dishes.
• Clean dishes and sanitize kitchen equipment; take out trash.
• Adhere to nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards.
• Track ingredient inventory and coordinate with staff to reorder supplies.
• May perform other duties; have fun!
