Job summary

Chopt Creative Salad Co. in Nashville is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prep, wash, and portion a wide variety of fresh ingredients for the salad line and ensure every station is stocked and ready for service.

You will be responsible for accurate portioning, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and supporting inventory and receiving tasks. Opportunity exists to train in other roles such as Salad Maker and Food Runner as you grow with us.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is required, preferably in high-volume settings.
• Must move with urgency to keep up with a busy kitchen.
• Strong knife skills or experience preparing ingredients to minimize waste.

Responsibilities

• Prep, cut, wash and assemble a wide variety of ingredients for the salad line.
• Maintain mise en place and ensure stations are stocked with ingredients and supplies.
• Accurately measure and portion ingredients according to recipes for consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace following DOH regulations.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory to prevent shortages.
• Help with other tasks like dishwashing or cleaning to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Learn different roles through cross-training opportunities such as Salad Maker and Food Runner.
