Job summary

Onni Group in Seattle is seeking a Full-Time Prep Cook to support daily kitchen operations, prep ingredients, and maintain safety and cleanliness. You will label, portion, and store foods, assist chefs, and help with receiving deliveries, closing duties, and waste reduction.

The ideal candidate has prep or kitchen experience, basic food safety knowledge, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or GED required; training and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or prep experience
• Basic understanding of food safety and knife handling
• Good time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients (chopping vegetables, cutting meats, making sauces, etc.)
• Label, date, and store food properly to ensure freshness and minimize waste
• Assist cooks and chefs with daily prep tasks and mise en place
• Keep prep stations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
• Support with closing and cleaning duties as needed
• May be asked to take out trash and recycling as needed
• May be asked to assist in sweeping and mopping the floors as needed
