Toca Madera in Scottsdale is seeking a Prep Cook to support the kitchen team, preparing ingredients, simple dishes, condiments, and maintaining health standards. You will help ensure pars are met and the kitchen operates smoothly in a high-energy dining environment.

Qualifications

• Proved experience maintaining food safety standards, using proper food handling techniques, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Ability to prepare ingredients and basic food items according to written directions in English.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a Full Service Dining experience
• Available to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand for the duration of shifts
• Be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs

Responsibilities

• Prepares ingredients and produce by peeling, cutting, and portioning as directed by the chef or sous chefs and written company standards
• Prepares condiments, dressings, and sauces as well as simple dishes such as breads or salads
• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and client
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards
• Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Proactive and anticipate the needs of other team members to keep the kitchen running smoothly
• Assist with back of house cleanliness and organization
