City Experiences is seeking a Prep Cook for our City Cruises operation in San Diego.

About the Opportunity:

As a prep cook, you will prepare food for our events, including cutting, chopping, peeling, etc., and plating food for buffet presentation. You will assist with processing deliveries and maintain safe and sanitary work stations at all times. You will work with the team to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met throughout the galley. This role offers a great opportunity to learn basic cooking skills and grow into other positions.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

• Assist in stocking products from deliveries, maintaining proper rotation and storage
• Follow food production guidelines, preparing food within designated timeframes
• Maintain safe and sanitary food standards
• Label, date, and initial all prepared and stored food products
• Monitor work areas throughout the shift
• Clean and organize food and pan storage daily
• Report any tools or equipment needing repair or replacement
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of kitchen prep experience
• Knowledge of health and sanitation codes
• Ability to obtain TWIC and MMC certification
