Job summary

Via Elegante Assisted Living & Memory Care in Tucson Mountains, AZ, is seeking a full-time Prep Cook / Dishwasher to join our culinary team. You will prepare meals for residents and work under the Sous Chef and Facility Director to ensure quality, safety, and timely service.

We value stability, growth, and a team-oriented environment. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in kitchen/dining or hospitality and can handle dietary needs and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of kitchen, dining service, or hospitality experience.
• Ability to obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card; we can assist with the process.
• Ability to obtain Arizona Memory Care Certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and beverages under the direction of the Sous Chef and Facility Director.
• Assist with menu preparation and meal service.
• Prepare meals for residents, including special dietary needs.
• Perform food temperature checks according to county health standards.
• Log temperatures and label food per health department requirements.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas.
• Perform closing duties to shut down the kitchen.
• Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware.
• Deliver meals to our Foothills location using a company food delivery van.

We are currently hiring a Full-Time Prep Cook / Dishwasher with 3-5 years of kitchen, dining service, or hospitality experience to join our culinary team.

In this role, you'll work closely with our Sous Chef, help prepare meals for residents, and gain hands-on experience that can lead to advancement.

Working from our Tucson Mountains community, you will help provide nutritious and enjoyable meals for our residents.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of kitchen, dining service, or hospitality experience
• Reliable transportation
• Clean driving record
• First aid/CPR Certification from American Heart Association or the Red Cross
• Ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can assist with the process)
• Ability to obtain Arizona Memory Care Certification (within 30 days of hire)
