Black Cap Coffee & Bakery of Vermont is seeking a Prep Cook/Dishwasher to support a busy kitchen in Waterbury. You will wash dishes, prep ingredients, and help with sandwich assembly, ensuring cleanliness and food safety across FOH and BOH.

This full-time role runs Thursday through Monday, 7 AM to 1 PM, with competitive benefits including PTO, health/vision insurance, employee discounts, and paid breaks. Training on Safe Food Handling will be provided after hire, and a positive team culture

Qualificações

• ServeSafe Food Handler Safety Certification will be provided by Black Cap after hire.
• Must have strong skills in communication, attention to detail/consistency, sense of urgency, prioritization, professionalism, adaptability.
• Must be timely and attentive to work.
• Must have a growth mindset and respond constructively to feedback.

Responsabilidades

• Wash, dry, and put away all dishes
• Maintain sanitation in front and back of the cafe
• Slice and portion product for production schedules
• Pull ingredients for next day service and store properly
• Cook eggs and prepare items such as caramelized onion
• Wash and prepare produce
• Prepare overnight oats and parfaits for following day
• Restock prep cooler and dry storage daily
• Communicate ingredient inventory needs
• Maintain chemical levels and report sanitation needs to Head Baker
• Perform cleaning duties daily/weekly/monthly
• Follow health codes and maintain sanitation
