Job summary

NEXDINE Hospitality in Acton, MA is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. You will assist the Executive Chef with breakfast, lunch and catered events and help ensure smooth daily operations.

This full-time, on-site role offers a competitive hourly rate of $24.00 to $25.00 per hour with weekly direct deposit. We value teamwork, sanitation and high-quality customer service as part of the NEXDINE Experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow st.
• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and other equipment.
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, rotating stock and following food company labeling & dating procedures.
• Monitor, cook and prepare foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or utilization of food thermometers.
• Compile and maintain records of food usage.
• Follow food specification amounts provided by supervisor. Assist in forecasting of preparation needs.
• Prepare and serve food to customers in a timely manner.
