Job summary

The Hotel Baxter in Bozeman, part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Prep Cook to support the kitchen team.

You will prepare food according to predetermined recipes, organize and label storage, and maintain a sanitary workspace to ensure quality and safety.

The Bacchus Pub at Bozeman’s crown jewel fosters hospitality with a warm, energetic atmosphere, and this role offers a hands-on, part-time opportunity reporting to the Chef.

Qualifications

• Food Preparation & Production: Knowledge of techniques and equipment for preparing and producing food.
• Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Meet and exceed restaurant specifications for presentation of all food prepared.
• Communication: Clear verbal and non-verbal communication with kitchen staff and understanding instructions.
• Interpersonal Relationships: Adapt to different personalities of clients, vendors and colleagues.

A day in the life....

A Prep Cook supports the kitchen staff by preparing food items for presentation according to predetermined recipes and menus. Prep Cooks also organize, label and store items while maintaining a sanitary kitchen work area.

Requirements

• Food Preparation & Production: Knowledge of techniques and equipment for preparing and producing food for consumption, including storage and handling techniques.
• Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Determine how to best achieve the goal of not only meeting the restaurants specifications regarding presentation of all food prepared, but exceeding the outlined commitment to quality.
• Communication: This position requires a commitment to details both verbally and non-verbally, therefore, the Prep Cook must encourage cooperative and consistent levels of communication with kitchen staff. Must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate with little or no additional direction.
