Job summary

Bayview Retirement Community in Seattle, WA is seeking a motivated Prep Cook. The role is full-time, non-exempt, hourly, with a schedule from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM and a starting pay of $23.80 per hour plus DOE.

The Prep Cook will help ensure meals are visually appealing, properly heated, and flavorful for residents, guests and staff, while maintaining timely service and accurate portions.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Food Handler's Card is required.
• 1-3 years of prior cook experience.
• Breakfast, lunch, dinner, soups and ability to follow recipes are required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in retirement or healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals with appealing appearance and proper temperature for residents, guests and staff.
• Assist in ensuring timely preparation of meals in adequate quantities.

Bayview Retirement Community is looking for motivated, hardworking, professional Prep Cooks to join our team.

The Prep Cook helps to assure that food served to residents, guests and staff has an appealing appearance, palatable temperature, savory aroma, and delicious taste. This person assists in ensuring that meals are prepared in a timely manner and in adequate quantity.

Requirements:

• Current Washington State Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in retirement or healthcare preferred.
• 1-3 years of prior Cook experience.
• Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, soups and ability to follow recipes a must.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Team player, great attitude, friendly and ability to follow direction.
