Job summary

Ballers is seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to join our culinary team in Philadelphia. This part-time, hourly role supports the kitchen by preparing ingredients and ensuring food readiness for service while upholding high standards in a fast-paced sports venue restaurant.

You will follow recipes, stay organized, and help with opening/closing duties. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities to grow into cook or supervisory roles within a lively, team-driven kitchen.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of kitchen experience preferred (but not required).
• Ability to follow directions and standard recipes.
• Serve Safe certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Washing, chopping, measuring, and preparing ingredients
• Following prep lists and recipe guidelines from the kitchen leadership
• Assisting with food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of prep areas and equipment
• Supporting cooks and chefs with basic tasks during service
• Alerting kitchen leadership to low inventory or prep needs
• Assisting with opening and closing kitchen procedures
