Job summary

Morimoto Asia in Lake Buena Vista, Florida is seeking a full-time Prep Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will prepare food items for guests, measure and portion ingredients, and work closely with the Chef to follow recipes and standards.

The position pays $17.50–$20.00 per hour with weekly pay, plus benefits including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Prior food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets.
• Ability to use kitchen tools safely (knives and small equipment).
• Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve storage items as necessary, measure, portion, and prepare all food items, complying with all quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate with the Chef for any special instructions or training.
• Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines.
• Follow all safety, security, kitchen, and ServSafe procedures, upholding all health codes and sanitation regulations.
